Tuesday is HALLOWEEN! The students will change into their costumes in the afternoon, so please send the costume in their bag. The parade around the school starts at 2:45. Find a spot on the parade route to see our class! Our class entered in the door decorating contest. The winners are announced on Halloween! The picture above is our door!

Wednesday we are going on a FIELD TRIP Skokie Theater to see The Money Tree! We leave school at 9:00 and return by 11:50 for lunch. PLEASE COME TO SCHOOL ON TIME!

Math

We just finished our unit on subtraction and will start shapes next week!

Reading

The students are practicing writing about connections they have made in books we have read and are practicing making connections to the books they are reading independently. We are going to begin talking about story elements for the remainder of the trimester.

Writing

Our small moment stories are coming along! We are adding sensory details to our writing to make our stories even better!

Science

We have been talking about the hours of sunlight in each season. We did an experiment to figure out which season has the most sunlight and which has the least! We used a sunrise/sunset calculator to figure out the number!
